• Development history and trends of data center infrastructure development • Hyper-converged architecture essence - simplicity and software defined storage concepts • Core operations of HCI systems: read/write IO path, caching, data distribution and protection, healing,… • Not all HCI systems are born equal: distributed file system, data locality, continuous data and system optimization data, proactive operations, etc. • Enterprise storage services on HCI: compression, duplication, snapshots, … • Basics of system deployment, maintenance and upgrades throughout the entire life cycle • Demonstration of the system operations and hands-on labs
